Dear Blogger

As already read by Nick, your ONE customer service guy. (By the way... You might want to check his email, since he doesn't appear to actually get it in REAL TIME, but rather once every week. But nonetheless, here's what I really wanted to say.)

Oh sweet sweet mercy. It actually worked! A very SMALL thanks.

And your customer service at that place still sucks. It took 5 months for that to work. November til March. Not the best time record.

Seriously, consider that thanks teeny teeny tiny. Really small. Like molecule small. Or um Quark small. That's how grateful I am for your FANTASTIC customer service.

Coming up on the end

I'm going to close down this blog. Its been a while, its been interesting, but its time to move on. Also, Blogger is not allowing a move to the "new" and "fabulous" upgraded version, so the time here is probably limited.

Quickly

I've nothing to report or talk about. I've no news, no stories and no excitement. Unless you want to hear about the fact that my Roomba is currently in the mail. And, oh, hold me back, how exciting is that!

The Short List

If ever I got around to putting up a list of blogs in my sidebar, this would be half of the list. The (VERY) short list of blogs I read everyday*. Definitely, in particular order.

Smitten Kitchen - Check back for regular recipe updates and fantastic food porn. Deb wields a camera like a pro. And she's funny. Also, she won the Well Fed Best Food Blog - Humor award. Congrats!

This Fish - One of those ever popular bloggers.

Dooce - No blurb necessary.

Mighty Girl - Short, sweet, and hilarious. Also, San Franciscan with commentary about the city that I miss most.

Udge - Smart kid with a small case of insomnia and a hot chocolate addiction. Who doesn't want that kind of addiction? He's really good to read when you want to read someone who has some thoughts to share.

Go Fug Yourself - Who doesn't like it when people mock celebrities?

Becks & Posh - Sam writes so well about food, restaurants, San Francisco and other food bloggers. She also won Well Fed Best Food Blog - City.

I Pretty Much Hate Everything - She claims that she's very bitter, but I remain unconvinced.

Out of Character - You could not laugh more. This woman is hilarious, honestly. Erin made November a month of laughs.

Fussy - The lovely lady behind the November Torture of NaBloPoMo. Also, she's funny.

Blackbird - She saved me with memes during November, AND she is super fond of pictures in her blog posts. Who could want more?

Amalah - Mom. Blogger. Funnay!

Quick Indian Cooking - Great, authentic, easy, and of course, quick, Indian Recipes.

Suburban Bliss - Birth Control via the Written Word, she claims.

Julia - With Hippogriffs and heart. Lots of heart.

A Little Pregnant - Its best if you start from the beginning of the archives and read from there. Really, go see.

Queen Mediocretia - Who doesn't need to read about royalty?

If you have suggestions of any others I should take a look at, drop the link into a comment.

*Ahem. Every day that I actually read the internets, therefore the blogs, I mean. See, I don't do things halfway, oh no I don't, so sometimes I skip some days because my heart isn't in it.

Two things

First - I was watching CSI again and here's the last thing someone said.
Character 1: "Its raining MAN JUICE?!"

Character 2: "Hallelujah?"

And most completely more importantly:

Well, well, well. After much talk and much contemplation since before Christmas, I've finally ordered the next addition to the household. I am most please and so excited for its arrival!

I'll post pictures, of course, when it arrives. I can't wait!

Roomba, and Were Rabbit Roomba costume - how I love you both already! I'm sure my love will only grow as soon as I see you for the first time.

Did you know....

Did you know that when you juggle an odd number of items that they will cross over, but those that juggle for like a living or something - when they juggle even numbers of things, well, that those things, they never change hands?

Isn't that somehow like... cheating?

Dear Pile of Crap,

aka Blogger,

I sincerely wish you all the best with this whole Blogger Beta, or whatever the hell its called now. I would love to join you, as is evidenced by my SIX attempts to "upgrade", however, like in many things in my life right now, you just reject me.

So, with all the kindness I can muster, from the very bottom of my soul, stop asking me to upgrade JUST TO TURN ME DOWN.

AGAIN.

Got it?

Good.

Bastards.

Ta,

-Kirsten

I may have spoke too soon and pissed off Austria - oh crap

Dear Austria,

Please ignore the last outburst about getting up to speed with the rest of the marvelous internet connected and convenient world while you PLEASE tell North America how it is that you work that whole public transportation system so well.

They don't get it here. Someone needs a hand holding and a very thorough explanation. Could you just do me this one favor, please? I'll ignore and perhaps even forget the customer service thing if you do this, I promise!

Oh, and there's a bit of a timeline, see. 2010 is kind of the goal deadline here, since Vancouver is inviting the world for the Olympics, so could you maybe, um, help with the hurrying it up thing? You know, since you're so good at time tables, and the keeping thereof, I thought you'd be the natural choice for that.

That'd be fab, thanks for the help.

Cheers!

-Kirsten
